its exactly my kinda book. plays a lot on emotions, feelings. oh and love :) plus, the couple on the cover looks absolutely gorgeous!! thanks to grace for intro-ing it to me!
well, the books about this girl, emily whose life is perfect, or so it seems. she is talented, has supportive parents and one hellova boyfriend, chris. ARGH she is so lucky mannn, cos hes suppose to be cute and all that, a swimmer. and loves her SO SO SO much. its like, she comes first before him and shes really important to him. reading on, chris really reminded me of someone..
anyway, whats the storyline, you ask?
unfortunately, shes suicidal, and she sorta asked chris to kill her. its like, she dies, while he didnt, and so he's accused of first degree murder (!!!!!) im like summarising it to the max, so do do read the book!
one thing ive noticed tho, is that how when one commits suicide, it is always not them who suffers, and instead their loved ones who are left behind. it is a really selfish thing to do, in my opinion. foolish, if i might add..
and ive also realised that even tho things might seem so dark at a point, or a huge un"salvagable" prob is in front of you, or when it feels like theres nothing else you can do to help, you will have 2 choices. one is the easier way ie to give up, and the other is to try.
in the storybook, em could have told chris her prob, but she chose not to. even tho she knows that he will, and can settle the prob with her..
i guess, sometimes, we can get so confused over things that we make the wrong decisions.
yes, suicide IS wrong. not only do you mess up the lives of those left behind, you deny yourself a whole lot of possibilities, which will definitely include happy moments..
so yeah, when you feel down or anything, you shd always find someone to talk to.. anyone..
