im feeling so happy (and in a way, contented) now :)

just chatted with my girlfriends fen, teng, yvc. they made me feel so good :) i was a bit down at first, but after chatting with them i was smiling while typing ler!

only a year older than me, and we both share the same last name!
as we grow up, and as our family meetings became more frequent, we bacame closer and never fail to talk about girly stuff during family reunions <3

omg, i feel so blessed to have known all these beautiful girls. thank you so much for everything. hopefully we'll be as close as ever :)

like finally, after how many days of hols, im back to blogging! :) im having the most amazing time ever here in london, didnt realise it could be this fun and enjoyable! so many things to do, so lil time. 3 weeks is not enough!!

first things first, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE!!! :)

to start it all off, the overdue CREPES PARTAYY post!

on 15th dec, was invited by christelle and christophe to go join them for their party at his place- an end-of-term celebration! whee! :) i brought along norman since i think he would enjoy meeting new people, and of course, i was right, he got along so well with them!

found the hosts at 6 in front of the covent garden station, where i met more of chris' friends (the 2 girls and puru) and off we went to catch a bus to his place at zone 2! went to morrisons to get the ingredients and later had to walk for bout 10 mins to his place.. wore my brand new pink wedges, and boy, how it hurt man! and you know how uneven the roads in london are right! luckily it doesnt hurt so much now, i think ive expended it :P

and after what felt like ages (not really la since i was happily girlchatting with christelle on the way :P), we arrived!

it was so cold that night as well! huffing and puffing (for me only i think, after carrying some heavy stuff), all of us practically threw our coats in chris' room and left for the kitchen and living hall.

at lonng last, my first ever crepe experience!

basically, the ingredients needed to make the dough are flour, milk and eggs. break about 3 eggs, add flour and whisk it till hard. when the mixture gets too difficult to stir, add some milk. and you know, to make the dough smoother, you actually have to do the steps repeatedly man omg!! cannot do all in one go le! its like making layer cake, need a lot of patience (and strength as well no joke!)

the guys got their hands dirty as well!

and of course, i wont wanna sit there and look only right, so i asked if i could try doing it!

ehh its tiring okay! help builds up muscles i hope! hehe.

we made 2 big bowls full of dough. after that, it was time to panfry it! crepes are something like pancakes actually, since the dough used are almost the same. axel was like so pro okay, poured the dough and added the butter so quickly as tho he has done it a million times!

first, you take some of the watery dough (duh :P)

then, you "fry" (ok i dunno whats the correct word) it on the pan!
chris and axel can actually flip the whole thing around (no hands!) easily!

and being the girl guest, i had the honour of tasting the first ever crepes made that day :)

axel told me that he forgot to add salt for the first one later on haha :P

ok, so crepes, i guess, are like bread to us people! you can add anything you like, its all up to you! that day, we added like mince meat, cheese, ham slices for starters.

after one round of that, everyone sorta stopped eating. and i was quite puzzled, altho i didnt show it hehe. then only did christelle told me that she actually prefers crepes with guess what! its none other than..

its damn funny, she was telling me how gluttony she was with food (its so not true!) and i was like "me too"!! haha. we started making at bout 8pm and finished at 9.30pm. after that we basically chilled and talked throughout the night.

axel is extremely mischievous lor i tell you! he wants 8 kids! crazy one! haha. anyways, hes damn funny one cos he likes to do things like wrapping someones head with cello tape unexpectedly, or sticking it at someones hair unknowingly!

there was a time when he left the living place for a bit, and after that i heard shouts and ppl running around the place.

at 2+, most of us decided to call it a day and catch a bus home. it was DAMN DAMN cold okay, and we had to wait forever for the night bus to come. so cham!

but all in all, i would say that i thoroughly enjoyed myself that day! thank you guys, esp christelle and chris for making my crepe experience so wonderful :)

AHHHHHHHHH!!! omg i SO cant believe that its boxing day tomorrow! its like, i have been waiting for this day to come my whole life! ok fine im exaggerating, for as long as ive been here :P cant wait cant wait!

so far, i already spent 70+pounds on a clarks high boots (39.99, one pence matters!), a gap jeans (12.99), a dorothy perkins jeans (15) and top (7)! dont think i can keep to my original shopping budget of 100 pounds lor omg! sorry mummy! haha.

also, seriously been ever so busy this hols! say wanna study konon but really no time la omg! im feeling so worried yet i wanna enjoy my hols.. how la now? :S

so many things to blog bout but no time! anyways, a summary of things i would love to blog on:

` starbucks job interview (btw, i got the job as a barista baby!! will be starting next yr :))
` xmas eve party @ imperial hall
` trip to warwick and birmingham (it was so fuuunnn! good company and visit yay)
` my bad day today, realised that theres a rat roaming IN MY ROOM omfg!

also, leaving for oxford this fri! cant wait!

finally, hols has started- still cant believe that the first term has actually ended.. it seems as tho everything passed in a blink of an eye.. i can still remember my first week here.. my parents came with me to settle down and all, ie shifting in to my new room, buying necessities, visiting places etc.. im so glad they came, without them i dont think i could have managed quite as well :)

anyways, how did i spend my last day of the first term!

went to maths lecture as usual for an hour at 11am, and then im freeee!!! went home for some lunch, surfed the net a bit, then went out again at 3.30pm with zhemin for some japan centre interview thingie..

for those of you who doesnt know, its like this japanese restaurant at piccadilly circus.. well, the interview was pretty standard ie why are you at london, why do you wanna work etc. the manager asked if i could work from bout 15-20hours a week nxt year, but i was like quite hesitant and kinda told him that i would prefer 15hours, which he said was quite lil..

ah screw it man, if i dont get the job, im fated to not work :) just gotta study much much harder to secure my first class!

went to buy some goggles at lilywhites after that, cos i lost mine after using it only for two times here! sigh! :( i was showering, holding the shampoo, conditioner and body foam, but then i left my goggles there! realised it just before was going out to meet my student mentor, wesley, at the entrance..

damn sad ler, within so short a time, my goggles are gone! no one reported it to the lost and found.. oh well, at the time, a whole bunch of primary school kids were there after swimming lessons too, so yeah.. boo them!

anyways, ive gotten a new pair for 4.49pounds! and this one wont fog since its new! whee! :):) also, obviously, i would stop at the ladies department, and guess what?

im now the proud owner of these! the blue pumps are soo comfy while the pink one jsut looks so cute! nice right? happy happy!! ahah..

walked around somemore till 6pm, then went to meet ds, dh, dn, istee, nat and oliver for dinner at mayflower.. the food theres really good! ds ordered so many things for us (cos he was extremely hungry at that time, haha!)- a total of 7 dishes + fried rice for 5 person for the 7 of us!! omg! quite nice to meet up with mc ppl once in a while to catch up and all :)

during dinner, norman called! he was at chinatown as well with his mom.. having dinner at mr.wu! and its not hte 4.95pounds, but the 8.90pounds one! didnt even know it exists man, a more exp mr.wu? haha..

ohh, and on the way from piccadily to mayflower, the most coincidental thing happened! its like, i was talking with zhemin, then i heard the extremely distinguishable msian accent, so i couldnt help turning back, and it was none other than samuel and kok ding! so omg right!! they were heading towards chinatown as well.. they're going for the imp ski trip on sat, so nice!

anways, met up with norman after that! since he has never been around this area much, and he was searching for a pressie for his gf, so off we went- shop-hopping!

went into trocadero, and saw a candy shop!!!! it soo reminded me of "the boy" by roald dahl!! now i can imagine why roald dahl was so excited bout the candy shop when he was younger!

and so, both norman and i decided to explore the candy shop.. after one round, it was so tempting that both of us agreed to buy and share the sweets! 99p for 100g!!

with norman, i dont have to worry bout being jakuned and everything for taking pictures, even at the weirdest places! cos hes so sporting (he really is!) and he loves taking pro photographes as well! sometimes i dont geddit, why some ppl dont wanna do something jakunned/ slightly embarrasing.. i mean, nobody will recognize you, and you only live once! :)
