it could be that small little gesture, the unintentional slip of words. generally, some minor things people say or do (which i probably shd ignore but cant since im so sensitive)..

you know what? i think im going to be one hell of a workaholic in the future.

why do i say that? well, sometimes i jsut want to finish all my work altho its time to go home- 5.30pm yay! i'll feel kinda incomplete if i left my work halfway, so i'll be thinking, ok la do a bit more, a bit more, a bit more and A BIT MORE! argh!

this is certainly a sign. i can feel it. oh no.. my poor future husband!! :(

so yeah, yours truly has been enjoying her internship at cimb corporate finance dept! her colleagues are damn nice -and young- (can get along well la), her one-of-the-many bosses is so willing to guide her and let her be involved in their work, and most importantly, shes learning something new everyday!

im so positive hor! its not like im learning a lot of things everyday la, im jsut happy that im pretty productive :) been researching on the rubber and cement industries..

ESP these 2 days since ive got sufficient sleep so i dont feel sleepy in office. shit now i know the importance of sleep.

but anwyays yeah, just wanted to express my job satisfaction. i have a feeling that this is gonna be a good 2 months in kl :)

ahh i just had a chat with one of my old old old ancient friend, and i just wanted to write it down, cos i enjoyed it from the bottom of my heart :)

to think that we only talk like once a year, but when we do, it feels like the old times again.. how nostalgic.

and i just found out one thing we have in common- we have/had close friends, and even tho we may not talk to them now due to our lackofinitiative/notreallykeepingintouch/whatever (since the last time we were close), they remain very very dear to our hearts.. the things theyve done, the stuff theyve said, some particular incidents..

you know what i mean right, im jsut too lazy to explain it properly, so as long as you faham, ok la! ;p

so yeah, i want you to know that you are someone i treasure as well, really! :) you better prepare a place for me to bunk in when i go to spore yeah! hehe.

my goodness, you know how i know that most of us has probably outgrown cheerleading? its when we're too lazy to go all the way to bukit jalil for cheer!!

but but but.. thankfully, jia ning agreed to wake up early and go to cheer with me! :) even tho she was so tired from standing the whole sat! and im so glad jia ning did, cos i really enjoyed that day with her as well.

for those of you who dont know, jia ning is an even more ancient friend than the above ancient friend :P knew her ever since we were standard 2 omg! we used to stay at the same street too!

so yeahh, the day started extra early at 7.50am. dear jia ning agreed to pick me up (i cant drive for reasons too long to write down) and off we went to village park for breakfast.

OMG the dinasour milo there is schweeeeeet! absolutely yummy, yes its really good. my god, my mouth is watering now! haha.

i would kill for this.

and after that, jia ning drove us all the way to bukit jalil with her crv. =O

yes, you got it right. jia ning.. drove.. crv.. bukit jalil.. YES ITS ALL IN THE SAME SENTENCE!

i dunno, before this i really cant imagine her driving so far with such a bigass car smemore!! even i dont dare to do that!

seriously, i cannot stress how amazed/ in awe i was.. and still am!

but, since we didnt really know the way (eh its bukit jalil stadium ok thats freaking F-A-R!), we *ehem* took some detours along the way haha.

at god knows where. i jsut remember us straining to find for road signs leading to sungai besi and sri petaling. it was a really, really long detour.



we went into.. noo, not bkt jalil stadium, but stadium hoki nasional or something like that! hahah damn funny! thought weve finally reached, since we saw a stadium and all, but alas, it was some crap hockey place, and blindly paid rm2 to enter omg!

it turned out that bkt jalil stadium was much grander and it was jsut right after the hockey stadium -_-

so we reached at 10.30am, missed sri kdu's stunners! :( (stunners boy team won 3rd place tho WOW)

we were there basically for only the first half of the competition, cos lunch break was bout 2 hours!! so long!! bleh. well, first half was pretty... okay. like okay la, nothing impressive. cheerleading? i also did before what! ;p eleh, like so perasan. jk la! hehe.

apparently, all the good teams performed at the second half!! sigh damn wasted!! oh wells. watching all these cheerleading stuff really made me miss it.. how i wished kdu joined cheer during my year now! but i tell you, it takes up damn a lot of time and energy.. like a lot. more than you could ever imagine.

when the teams were so bad, no offense la k ;p

after that, went to tgif for lunch.. gavin treated us! i doubt you'll read this, but thanks gav!! haha.

i love tgif man, esp the nachos! omg drools. tgif rocks!! ;D

couple in black <3 and and after that, went to gavs new place. it was a pretty place, i loved his study room. theres like a sofa next to the window where you can read books during the day or whenever theres sunlight. really pretty. and for some reason i thought it was a pretty romantic spot! hahah.

then we started chatting bout random stuffs la- relationship, sex, tattoos, piercings...

( I WANT A NOSE PIERCING!!!!! really really want it! mummy dont let! :()

to jia ning, i had a great time that day! everything was good, from village park to gettin lost to cheer to gavs place to seesaw. love you! <3

so yea, that summed up my day. sorry its a bit... flat. hahah.

omg i think i just did the most dangerous driving ever! which was driving without my specs!

after work, went to get my daily dose of exercising at trop. as usual la, swam, then took out my contacts, and then only did i realised that i forgot my glasses!!! my eyes were already dry as it was, so i was like what the heck la, dont care. :P

besides, no one knows the road from trop to my place more than i do, since ive been there a gazillion times! come to think bout it, trop played, and still plays quite a big role in my life. the steam room there is to die for! :)

since my astig is so high, plus it was bout 7.30pm and the lights were on, i saw blobs of lights- from the cars and street lights- which were pretty!

ahhh, the little things in life.

i brought elaine to have some asak laksa the other day. its sold by a relatively young couple in the mid 30s on a white van, near paramount. i shall not elaborate on how good it is, it just is, esp after adding fish! :)

anyways, to get back, we have to pass ss2, and that was where i stayed for the first 12 years of my life. everytime i pass by my old house or even just the area itself, i find myself missing and thinking back of my childhood times- how carefree, how innocent, how very fun.

i remember my childhood friends like jia ning, simon, jia wei and caleen and eleene. we were all staying on the same road, so we always go to tuitions and whatever nots together..

for the first few years after shifting, i would still miss my old place terribly, secretly fantasisin of staying there again. altho it was small, it was cosy and welcoming. it was after all where i spent most of my time then.. its also extremely convenient, with pasar malams on mondays and thursdays, and all the shoplots within walking distance.

and i wondered, how come this feels so familiar? then it hit me. i miss someone as much as i miss my old place. its the feeling of growing up, knowing clearly that i cant return to the same place anymore, cos even if i did, it wouldnt be the same anymore.. but ive learned to accept it as it is.

that familiarity, freedom and happiness, i'll just have to keep alive in my memory..

yours truly had jsut came back from her virgin trip to a place none other than

BANGKOK! :)

it has been my one of my places to visit in SEA since forever (which also includes bali, taiwan, hong kong) happy happy joy joy! still rmb the row i had with mummy when we were planning this trip.. but now its all worth it! i think all of us enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

DAY 1

left with airasia (my current fav airline, so cheap!!) @ 28th june, 8.45am. bangkok is one hour behind msia, so we reached Suvabhavarti (or sth like that ;p) Airport at bout 10+am. immediately, we were ushered into a van which took us on a 40min ride to ascott hotel at sathorn.

only one word to describe it - amazing.


omg i was so impressed (yealah i know jakun la hehe) that i immediately took a video of it for sharing pleasure :)

(also, i thought i sounded a lil funny too!! :S)

anyways, here you go!

not wanting to waste any more time, we went for lunch at this restaurant called naj. the tom yam there was sooo tasty, omg im drooling even now! haha. i thought it was some high class restaurant as the whole meal costed us a lil more than 3000 baht = rm300. for lunch! and i thought bangkok was suppose to be cheap!! little did we know that that was the most authentic (and tastiest) thai food that we had throughout our trip.
the whole setting screamed thai that i couldnt resist a picture ;p

and on we explored bangkok with our feet. omg it was soo freaking hot, like really hot that everyone were sweating their ass off.

some local vendors along the road - there were sooo many of em!

a typical view of bangkok - its like this whereever you go, minus the posh places la like siam paragon etc (dont worry, more on that laters)

at the beginning, we thought taking the mrt was the most convenient and boy were we right! i tell you, the traffic jam can be really horrible during peak hours. my gosh. however, its much cheaper to take a cab there tho! can go anywhere we want with just 50-150 baht = rm5- 15.

and i tell you, the sequence of our cab experience would be like this, always!

1) daddy will flag a cab
2) ask for a good price and asks if 3) is okay for them
3) ALL 6 OF US WILL FIT INTO THE CAB SKILLFULLY.

omg its extremely hilarious to me even now. often the taxi driver will express shock/ surprise that so many of us can fit into the back seat. imagine 5 ladies (we are not that small mind you) just routinely plop into the back of the cab (after some practise of course)!

we even had like a fixed sequence. si yi will enter first, then i will sit on top of her, then elain, mummy and li yi will enter accordingly.

went to one of the tourist attraction - chatuchak market at bout 4-5. wrong time. it was effing hot. but you know, nothing beats cheap shopping for elaine and i, but it was soooooo hot that my mom and aunties couldnt stand it and they kept suggesting that we proceeded to another place. aiyahhh!

it was really "people mountain people sea" (knowledge of mandarin required) !! i can imagine everyone being so dirty! hehe.

my mothers the boss, so when she says that its too hot for shopping, it is too hot for shopping (ok la, it was really hot but i would still shop lor!). went to another shopping mall called MPK, it in fact reminds me of our dear ol sg wang, except cheaper and more variety and less lalaness. bought 3 dresses there for rm65 altog, 2 of which are slightly too big for me boo!

then had dinner at the fifth avenue, some really cool food court (not like arena in ou) which im too lazy to describe la :P

DAY 2

woke up early again, had breakfast buffet at hotel. the omelet there is so yummiliscious, yum! :p after that went for a "cruise" around the chao phraya river, which was so bloody dirty as you can tell from the pic below. it was even smelly at some point, yuck!

later later, we walked to the temple where the reclining buddha was laid (not in that sense you sicko!) it was pretty big, and apparently coated with gold (dont they all?)

after that, we left for the grand palace where the royalty lived last time. now no more, only left with lotsa tourists swarming around.

haha. again, improper dressing not allowed. improper being skirts above knee length, sleeveless, 3 quarter pants, semi transparent tee and the list goes on. so we had to pay a deposit of 100 baht each to rent some suitable clothing!

if you think bout it, its damn yuck lar. imagine ppl wearing it, then sweat like crazy and the next person wears it again.. eww!!!!!!!! my sis very kesian, have to rent the shirt somemore. double yuck!

OH EM GEE! ascott must have have the coolest, biggest, spacious-est, nicest, complete-est gymming facility compared to all the hotels. it is SO grand i tell you. and each equipment came with a personalized tv screen with headphones and you can watch astrolike programmes in it.

i only went on the 3rd day, regretted for not exploring it earlier, damn wasted!!

anyways, i was watching discovery channel and apparently, in china, the emporers dragon usually has 5 claws and it signifies that he is able to control the rain and all. and rain is very important for an agricultural country like china.

so claw = rain = more harvest = power.

and with some deductions (i dont take logic for no reason see! ;P), it might be the same in thailand and hence the claws i found there.

OH OH OH!! and the pool is sooo pretty too! i woke up early on the 4th morning especially to try out the pool okay! too bad the waters not too clean. and then i went to the steam room. they even had a posh looking bigger-than-your-typical-jacuzzi jacuzzi. too bad no time to try.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................!!!

everything looked really nice. it really felt like a holiday retreat at that time! hehe.

DAY 3

another shopping day, this time at the wholesale outlet called platinum.

6 floors of shops, side to side, back to back. it got me going crazy!

elaine and i were like ok move try buy walk see browse reduce price walk somemore. run- haha no la crazy meh!

things there were really cheap. some, not all. bought quite a lot of stuff there, happy :)

fruits to fill our tummy as it was past lunch hour.

at night, we were recommended this cabaret in which the casts are all aquas.

it was spent doing some last minute shopping and there goes my bangkok trip! :*(
